Concert Ticket Splitting: Duplicate Wins & Resale
Popular concert tickets. Applying with friends to win, but winning too many duplicate tickets.
It costs a fortune. Finding buyers is hard. Don't fight with your fandom friends.
1. The Pre-Application "Treaty"
Discussing after winning is too late. Decide before:
- Priority: Which seats to keep, which to resell.
- Fees/Losses: If tickets don't sell, who pays? Shared responsibility or the applicant?
Basically, "Since we cooperated to apply, we share the risk (unsold tickets)" is fair.
2. Share Exact Amounts with Fees
Tickets have system fees, issuance fees, etc. Charged only face value means the organizer loses money.
Share payment screenshots. Split the TOTAL including fees.
Discuss who bears resale platform fees too.
3. Fronting Large Sums is Risky
Fronting hundreds of thousands on a credit card is a burden.
If possible, use convenience store payment after winning, and have everyone bring cash or send money immediately. "Pay you after payday" is trouble.
Enjoy the Show!
Don't let money ruin fandom friendships. Manage risks and enjoy the live performance!
